    Web designing and development is incredibly multidisciplinary. This course offers high-quality web designing and development training. A multi-disciplined approach is employed in this course and project work is encouraged in class to help students gain practical experience. Students will become familiar with essential terminologies and definitions, static and dynamic design concepts and utility/community portals.

    Course Contents
    • Analysis and design of web projects
    • Ways to improve the quality of websites
    • Behind the scene codes (HTML/XHTML/CSS/ JAVA script)
    • WYSIWYG web design tools (Adobe Dreamweaver/ Microsoft Front page)
    • Eye-catching graphics with Fireworks/Image Ready
    • Animated Artwork (banner/buttons/movies) using Flash
    • Design Database in Microsoft Access (with an introduction of SQL Server/MySQL)
    • Creating dynamic pages (Log-in/log-out and database search systems in Dreamweaver)
    • Introduction to PHP
    Course Outcomes
    • Understand basic terminologies related to web site design and development
    • Knowledge of basic requirements for developing an effective online presence including selection of suitable domain registration and hosting solutions
    • Select suitable tools according to needs of the project and target audience
    • Design or modify simple web pages through coding html/xhtml/css.
    • Confidently design websites with the help of common wysiwyg web design tools
    • Add attractive graphic elements and effects to websites
    • Design striking animated artwork
    • Select suitable databases for adding dynamic contents
    • Design medium level databases
    • Make user registration and log-in/log-out systems
