A graphic designer uses text and images together in interesting and impactful combinations for different purposes and target audiences including advertisements, television graphics, logos, newsletters, reports, brochures, magazines, dissemination materials, posters and websites.

As a graphic designer your work would include:

• discussing the requirements of the client and advising on best possibilities
• providing cost quotations
• selecting the most suitable materials and style
• designing layouts and printing materials
• showing the client different computer or paper samples
• researching new technology trends
• ensuring consistency, accuracy and compliance with client’s requirements
• using specialist computer software to prepare designs
• producing 3D (three dimensional) designs for packaging, exhibitions and displays
