  • Dress Designing

    This course provides students with a broad overview of the Fashion and Textile industry and a comprehensive understanding of different aspects involved in this field. Students will learn about fabrics, patterns, dress designing concepts and basic equipment required for dress designing. As an essential component of the course, they will also produce their own creative products.


    *The tuition fee does not include material cost.
    Course Contents
    • Introduction and discussion of different aspects of fashion
    • Strong textile/fashion designing concepts
    • Discussion of various types of patterns and selection process
    • Pattern markings and how they assist in cutting and making of clothing
    • Dress designing tools and equipment
    • Expression of individual creative elements in cloth design
    • Transformation of simple cloth into trendy outfits
    • Project work based on various themes including fusion, eastern, western, bridal, formal and seasonal wear
    • Product sales and marketing
